Statement of project objectives

Primary economic benefits

The Project consists of the development of new and rehabilitation of existing infrastructure (ferry transportation, road, water supply and electricity supply) to service the needs of households, businesses, institutions and residents of Bugala Island.

Primary social benefits

The Project is a unique multi-sector infrastructure services initiative being developed in an isolated and poor rural location where much of the existing infrastructure is either in a dilapidated state, having limited capacity or non existent.
